Wholesale countertop distributors offer a diverse inventory of stone products for both residential and commercial projects. The 100,000-square-foot facility at Maestro Surfaces has over 500 wholesale countertops in polished natural stone slabs. Each slab has unique properties that reflect the material’s natural state, such as marbling, veining, and color variation. Here are three tips for choosing a countertop wholesaler:
1. Product Variety
Countertop materials include granite, marble, and engineered stone like maestro quartz. This product combines quartz with high-quality polymer resin to create an easy-to-maintain surface. This blend provides a smooth texture while providing rich levels of clarity not found in traditional stone. Colors include warm and cool greys, blacks, and whites.
Porcelain is also a manmade product and mimics the appearance of natural stone. It is a high-performance material that is resistant to damage and scratches. Common patterns include whites with dark veins or smooth dark greys. Our porcelain slabs are crafted in Europe and sent to us directly.
We also offer a variety of traditional mineral selections, including granite, marble, and travertine. Granite is durable and heat resistant with distinct patterns and earth tones. Marble is softer than granite, offering a timeless appearance, and comes from quarries around the world. Travertine is a type of limestone with warm, neutral hues favored for kitchen and bathroom counters.
2. Slab Sizes
Wholesale countertops are often available in various sizes and thicknesses, making it easy to find a stone suitable for your project. The type of stone can affect how large a slab is. Some granite countertop slabs are 9.6 ft long and 5.6 ft wide, while porcelain may be 10 ft long and 5 ft wide. Visiting a wholesaler in person allows you to review available options and shipping limitations and have stones custom-cut.
Calculate the size of the slab you need by measuring the length and width of each section of the countertop. Multiply the length by the width of each segment, then add the square footage together for a final number. If you have a 2 ft by 10.5 ft counter, you will need a slab that offers at least 21 square feet of usable material. Larger slabs may be able to accommodate large countertops without seams.
3. Price Matching
Price matching is when a business agrees to sell a product at the same price as a competitor. If you find a similar granite slab from another distributor, we will match that lower price at our warehouse. We offer price matching to provide transparency about our services and the industry. To qualify for a price match, we need to verify the competitor’s product and pricing, and then we can match their offer.
